Bully Prevention Training:

Bullying among children is commonly defined as an intentional, repeated hurtful acts, words or other behavior, such as name calling, threatening and or shunning committed by one or more children against another. Educators, parents and children concerned with violence prevention must also be concerned with the phenomenon of bullying and its link to other violent behaviors. This program is designed to help school based teams begin to:

  • Understand bullying- its forms, causes, and outcomes.
  • Assess the levels and types of bullying in the school
  • Develop school wide, classroom based, and individual bully reduction strategies.
  • Design and deliver specific programs strategies to help victims.
  • Promote parent programs that reduce and minimize bullying and its effects

*Training includes a 15 minute DVD showing examples of pre-teens being bullied and how this can be avoided.
