An initiative that provides a wide variety of services to public
schools to enhance their security and safety efforts in the areas of
prevention, mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.

2000-2003          Greece Central School District (GCSD)

Supervisor of District Security, Safety and Environmental Health
Managerial position responsible for providing direction and leadership
for the districts, 30+ security personnel as well as ensuring the personal
safety and security of students, employees, and visitors and the protection
of property assets. The GCSD serves over 14,000 students at 21 schools.            

Accomplishments:

*Worked Closely with local law enforcement in the investigation of and successful resolution to, many criminal acts affecting the school district.
*Developed and implemented district- wide Security Guard Operating procedures.
*Established the School District as a Certified NYS Security Guard Training School and served as the primary instructor and Director of that school.
*Assisted in defining the titles, responsibilities and salary structure of the security guards.
*Developed and implemented a District-wide School Safety Plan consistent with the New York State Safe Schools Against Violence in Education (SAVE) legislation.
*Instrumental in the design of the upgraded, integrated security systems within the schools.
*Implemented the Safe School Helpline
*Coordinated the school district’s to the heightened concerns raised about terrorism, military action in Afghanistan and Iraq, and the elevated National Threat Level.
*Conducted tabletop exercises for all district administrators on safety and emergency response procedures.

 

1980-2000 Town of Greece Police Department

Certified NYS Police Officer/ Police Sergeant

Assignments:

Road Patrol Sergeant, Tactical Unit Investigator, Youth Division Investigator, Training Sergeant ( Coordinated all recruit and in-service training.), Officer in charge of the Community Services Unit.

 

                        Accomplishments:

*Supervised Road Patrol Personnel as  a Sergeant.
*As an investigator, worked on numerous, varied criminal investigations.
*Provided over one hundered presentations to community groups and organizations on a variety of crime prevention safety topics.
*Responsible for the School Resource Officer Program
