Student Violence Prevention : Managing Student Threats

This Program will provide teachers, social workers, guidance counselors, and professionals
With practical ideas and skills in dealing with aggressive students and student threats. This includes policy formulation, staff training Student education, parental notification prevention strategies, student referral.
            * Managing Threats:  A school wide action plan
The purpose of this staff development program is to provide educators with information and training on an action plan for managing student threats. the basic approach is to treat threats as serious as student behavior and develop an action plan that is safe, sensible and
practical.

The teacher workshop can be adopted from 1- 2 hours with teachers working in groups discussing and answering six established questions. As an outcome of the discussions the summary by each group will provide the school with directions they need to take to improve gaps in their school safety plans. A reproducible manual for participating viewers and staff is available.
